Product Description
RACE XCOMP 18 BINDINGS:
The new XComp 18 binding features new high-end technology with a DIN range of 8.0 to 18.0. The 3-point mounting pattern with two absorbers and the magnesium sole holders provide maximum power transmission and excellent shock absorption, which lets the ski flex very naturally. More control and power transmission for even greater speed!
XComp Toe - TCX Comp Heel - Teflon AFD Gliding Plate - Magnesium Parts
Marker has proven to be the most innovative racing binding with toe and heel technologies that focus on increased power transmission. The revolutionary X-Cell Piston technology in the toe piece keeps the boot centered during the quick jolts that often happen in the race course. Complementing the X-Cell toe is the Twin Cam X heel, which also provides world-class power transmission and optimized elasticity.
X-COMP TOE
Using XCell piston technology with additional modifications in shock absorbance and reduced stiffness, enable the ski a more natural and harmonic flex, as well as a more smooth and “forgiving” performance. The combination of the XCell damping technology, with the athlete based modifications in stiffness and shock absorbance, provides a totally new racing performance that combines the best of old and new.
TWIN CAM X HEEL
This is the next logical step in improving the Twincam heel, with more power, higher elasticity in the release, and an optimized performance curve. The construction increases the boot and ski connectivity for a longer period, even in extremely steep terrain, ensuring more precise control until released. It also offers improved power transfer through the wider connection of the heel rail (43 mm).
MAGNESIUM PARTS RACE
Magnesium is the lightest and most robust metal construction material, making it perfect for our high-end bindings. You will be well equipped for a faster run and the most radical lines!
INTELLIGENT BACKWARD RELEASE
Intelligent Backward Release clearly differentiates between forces that occur during a backward twisting fall and moments of force that originate from a movement onto the edge of the ski to enter into curves. An individually adjusted spring reliably regulates the backwards release without any loss of performance.
AFD GLIDING PLATE RACE
MARKER bindings are equipped with a movable AFD (anti friction device) supporting a precise release almost entirely unhindered by dirt, snow and ice! Individual adjustment of the AFD to the area of application enhance optimized functionality - from racing, for children’s bindings or on ski tours.
TLT - TWO LINKAGE TOE
The next level of improvement for the tried-and-tested two linkage toe system. Light, robust, full side and rear release with improved DIN range. The release springs, triggered by the sole bracket, uses the clever TLT system to provide rear release without taking up extra space or adding extra weight.
BIOTECH
During a backward twisting fall both horizontal and vertical forces are triggered on the toe of the binding. Biotech recognizes this unfavorable force combination and reliably reduces the release force.
