Recreational & Training Wax
Training wax is what you should be using most nights. It costs a fraction of race wax per gram, covers a broad temperature range, and does the job that actually matters day to day: keeping the base saturated so it does not dry out.
A dry base is slow no matter what goes on top of it, and it is the real reason an expensive race wax sometimes feels like it did nothing. Waxing often with an inexpensive universal wax beats waxing rarely with a premium one.
Buy it in larger blocks than you think you need. Wax that feels too precious to use gets saved for race day and the base suffers all season.
