Medical grade base bevel
One star off for expense, but once you are past the price I think this is the single best base bevel guide there is...I've had most of them over the years. Provides fingertip control over file pressure and makes it easy to hold angle throughout stroke. And it looks like a surgical instrument sitting in your toolbox.

What a beautiful tuning tool. I've had/tried many base bevel guides and this one is such great quality and has such a great feel which is really important when tuning base edges by hand.

The best base bevel tool available!!
I have used SVST base edge beveling tools to establish base bevel and to hold tools to remove burrs and polish edges for over 15 years. The 1.5 degree tool is my latest addition. The tool is well made, key parts are replaceable, and it accommodates a variety of files, diamond and other stones. I have 0.5, 1.0 and 1.5 degree tools and highly recommend them to anyone who wants a precision tool that will last for years. This makes a great combination with the SVST pro side beveling tools.
