The Swix fine chromed ski file is made by Viala of Portugal, a well respected file manufacturing facility that has been making specialty files for the ski and snowboard tuning industry for years.
This particular file is 6"/15cm in length and has 16 tpcm (teeth per centimeter).
It's primary function is fine finish work and is most often preceded by a slightly more aggressive ski file like the 8"/20cm Medium Swix Viala File found here.
