Customer feedback influenced Sun Valley Ski Tools to develop their SVST World Cup 4 Inch Diamond File. Ski and snowboard tuners were looking for a quality diamond abrasive with machined aluminum backing such as that of the Standard World Cup Diamond file only without the exposed strip of aluminum which made that style difficult to use for base edge tuning.
Perfectly flat, machined 6061 aircraft aluminum back.
High quality cloth backed diamond strips with industrial strength adhesive.
Unlike competing brands, diamond strips are replacable once worn out.
Available grits; 120(coarse), 220(medium), 400(fine), 600(extra fine).

Diamond File works very well
I can use this style Diamond File to clean up base edge angles with the base edge tool very effectively because the metal backing that the cutting strip's attach to sits behind the cutting strip (same as a moonstone). I can also use it for side bevel work. Economical too because, your replacing the cutting strip when it dulls and not the whole tool, saving you $$.
