Tips for Local Racers

• Fit first, colour second. Bring the helmet you will wear when you try goggles, so the two sit together without a gap.
• Buy armor with room to grow, not to swim in. Junior guards that slide around do not protect the shin they are meant to cover.
• Plan wax around Bogus Basin conditions. Man-made and refrozen snow is abrasive, so a harder wax often beats a soft one, even in spring.
