Certification: FIS approval applies at FIS level and above. U14 and U16 racing at club, state and regional level does not require a certified suit, so for most junior racers this is more suit than the rules ask for — though it is still a fast one, and the padding is genuine protection.
Sizing: fit it now rather than buying a season ahead. A race suit is the one garment where growing room actively costs performance.
