The Nitrogen pant in a 2 inch (5 cm) shorter inseam — the same pant, cut for a shorter leg.
This solves a specific and common problem. A ski pant that is too long bunches on the boot cuff, catches underfoot, and wears through at the hem within a season. Racers and coaches with a shorter inseam usually end up either hemming a standard pant or living with it, and neither is ideal.

What the 20,000 means: millimetres of water resistance — roughly how much water pressure the fabric holds before leaking. Around 10,000 handles most days; 20,000 covers sitting on wet chairlifts and kneeling in slush at the bottom of a course. Seam sealing matters as much as the number.
