Grinding coolant for machines — stone grinders, belt sanders and automated tuning machines. This is shop equipment, not a bench product.
Coolant does two jobs on a grinder. It carries heat away from the contact point, because a base heated by a stone melts rather than cuts, and it stops the steel parts of the machine rusting between uses.

Non-foaming is the specification that matters. A coolant that foams loses contact with the work, stops carrying heat, and makes a mess of the machine's recirculation. Cheaper general-purpose coolants foam under the flow rates a stone grinder runs.
If you run a tuning machine, coolant is not optional — running dry ruins both the stone and the bases going across it, and it is the fastest way to shorten a grinder's life.
