Wide, pro-length shin guards at 15.75 inches (40 cm) — an adult size, covering from below the knee to the boot cuff.
The width is the point of the Pro design. A narrow guard protects the front of the shin and leaves the inside edge of the leg exposed, which is where a slalom gate goes when the line is tight. Wider coverage means fewer hits landing on unprotected leg.
- Wide Pro-style shape for extensive shin coverage
- High-impact plastic with aerodynamic ridges to deflect gates
- Adjustable Velcro straps with internal padding
- Adult length 15.75" (40 cm)
- Carry bag included
Sizing: measure from just below the kneecap to the top of the boot cuff. The guard should cover that whole span. Too short leaves a gap at the boot; too long and it fouls the cuff and pushes the knee forward.
High-impact plastic rather than carbon is a deliberate trade here — heavier and slightly less stiff, but more forgiving of a fit that is not perfect and considerably cheaper to replace. For a racer still growing, that is usually the better call.
Pair with arm guards and an armoured glove for a full slalom setup; gates hit the forearm as often as the shin.
