The Hero Arm Guard uses a high-impact polyamide shell that spreads a gate strike across the panel rather than concentrating it where the pole lands. Behind it, dual-density padding does two jobs at once: a firmer layer absorbs the hit, a softer layer sits against the forearm so the guard stays comfortable through a full slalom session rather than becoming something a racer wants off after four runs.
The shape is contoured to the forearm, which keeps the guard from rotating around the arm mid-run — the usual complaint with flat-panel protection. Hook-and-loop straps go on over a race suit in the start corral and come off one-handed in the lodge.
