The handle is the part of a roto system you buy once. Brushes wear out and get replaced; a good handle should outlast several of them.
This one is machined stainless steel and aluminium, and — the detail that matters — every component is replaceable: handle, shaft, bearings, grip and the brushed aluminium shield. Bearings are the usual failure point on a roto handle, and being able to replace them rather than the whole tool is the difference between a five-year tool and a two-year one.

Width has to match your brushes. This is the 90 mm handle and it takes 90 mm brushes; 150 mm brushes will not fit. If you are starting from scratch, pick a width and buy the whole set to it.
The shield is worth having. Roto brushing throws wax, and without one you wear it.
Fit it in a cordless drill, run moderate speed with light pressure, and keep the tool moving.

I have been building my ski tune tool box up. This is my second edition of this tool. Now have two different roto brush applications for speeder waxing.
