140 mm is the volume width. Fewer passes per base, which matters when you are through a team's skis on a race evening. For a home bench, the narrower 100 mm handle is easier to control and needs less from the drill.
Width is a commitment. 140 mm brushes will not fit a 100 mm handle, so choose a width and build the brush set to it.
Same rules apply: moderate speed, light pressure, keep the tool moving.
