Swix Roto Brushes

Swix roto brushes mount on a handle in a cordless drill and cut brushing time from minutes to seconds per ski. Worth it as soon as you are tuning more than a pair or two at once.

The sequence is the same as hand brushing: steel or brass to open the structure, horsehair to clear the bulk, nylon or fleece to polish. Swix handles come in single and combination forms, and the brush must match the handle width — 100 mm and 140 mm are both common and are not interchangeable.

Moderate drill speed, light pressure, and keep the tool moving. A roto brush held still will burn a base faster than an iron.
