A roto fleece is the last tool that touches the base. Mounted on a roto handle in a cordless drill, it polishes the finished surface, clears the last of a powder or block overlay out of the structure, and leaves the base ready to run.
This is the hard fleece, intended for cold, dry, abrasive snow, and for finishing powder and block applications in conditions around 23°F and below. Softer fleeces are for warmer, wetter snow; running the wrong one either polishes too little or loads up with wax.
It is 100 mm wide and fits Swix roto handles as well as Red Creek 100 mm handles, so it drops into most existing setups.
Run it at moderate drill speed with light pressure and keep the tool moving — heat from a roto tool sitting in one place will damage a base far faster than any iron.
