The Trigger system is the detail to check. These clip directly into Trigger S and Trigger 3D poles, which means no wrist strap to wrap and a release that lets go in a fall. If your poles are not Trigger-compatible the glove still works, but you are paying for a feature you will not use — worth confirming before ordering.
Glove or mitten? Gloves give more pole feel and are the usual slalom choice; mittens are warmer. The same model is available as a mitten if cold hands are the bigger problem.
