The mitten version of the Venom SL, with the same ceramic-reinforced 3D padding and Trigger compatibility. Warmer than the glove, at some cost in pole feel.
Fingers sharing a compartment stay considerably warmer than fingers separated, which is why mittens are common in speed events and on cold slalom mornings. For a racer whose hands genuinely suffer, a mitten is the practical answer rather than a thicker glove.
- Ceramic-enforced 3D silicone finger and thumb pads, speed panel knuckle protection and silicone surround cushioning
- Ergonomic goat leather palm with silicone grip pads and Pro Glide Zone
- Thinsulate insulation with micro Bemberg lining
- Flex-mapped construction for natural movement
- Compatible with LEKI Trigger S and Trigger 3D pole systems
Check your poles before ordering. The Trigger system clips the mitten straight into Trigger S and Trigger 3D poles — no strap to wrap, and a release that lets go in a fall. On non-Trigger poles it works as an ordinary mitten, so you are paying for a feature you will not use.
Many racers own both this and the glove version, and choose on the morning based on temperature.
Size it snugly. A mitten with room to spare is colder, not warmer, because there is less hand filling it — and the padding no longer sits where the gate hits.
