How to apply it: set the iron so the wax melts steadily without smoking, crayon the bar onto the base, then iron it in with the iron always moving. Let the ski cool completely — at least twenty minutes, and longer is better — before scraping. Wax that is scraped warm comes straight back out of the base, which is the most common reason a wax job does not last.
