Long and narrow — 47¼ × 13¾ inches — which is the shape that fits where a wide bench will not: a hotel room, the back of a van, a garage that has to hold a car as well.

The length is deliberate. A ski is supported along its length rather than across its width, so a narrow table wastes nothing while being far easier to carry and store.
Two bars rather than four is the trade for portability. It is rigid enough for waxing and normal edge work; if you want maximum stability for a permanent setup, the wider T754 has four.
Set the height standing comfortably with hands on the surface. Too low is the usual mistake and the reason a long tuning session becomes a backache.

Perfect bench for the home tuner
Works great for the home tuner. It's actually more sturdy than I thought. I had the typical poor mans sawhorse ski bench, but after buying this bench, I realized I should've just spent the extra cash and bought this to begin with. It is a narrow bench, so it does get a bit rocky if you're moving around it quickly, but I'm still glad I got it.
