A powered edge tuner does one job that a file and guide cannot: it gives you the same angle on the last ski of the night as on the first. Hand filing is accurate when you are fresh and drifts when you are not, and on a team's worth of skis that drift adds up.
The Evo Pro sharpens a side edge in 30–45 seconds per pass using a circular diamond disc, with a steel spring behind the disc keeping pressure constant as you move along the ski. Constant pressure is the whole point — it is what stops the edge being sharper at the tip than the tail.
- Adjustable from 85° to 90° in one-degree increments
- Ships with the Fine diamond disc installed
- Medium and Coarse discs available separately
- Disc mount backed by a steel spring for consistent pressure
- 110–240 V plug-in power, no battery
Choose your angle by discipline: slalom racers typically run a sharper side bevel than GS or speed skiers, and juniors usually less than adults. Set it once and it repeats.
The Fine disc is for maintenance between races. For a base that has been rock-damaged or an edge that has lost its angle, start with Coarse or Medium and finish with Fine.
