The first brush after scraping. Once the scraper has taken the bulk off, wax remains down in the structure grooves, and a medium bronze brush is what lifts it out.
Bronze is the routine choice for this because it is aggressive enough to clear the grooves but softer than steel, so it will not cut the base if you press too hard.

Medium or coarse? Medium suits most waxes and most days and is the one to own first. Coarse bronze clears harder, colder waxes and does more structuring — useful if you mostly ski cold snow or want a more open base.
Then move finer: horsehair to clear what bronze loosened, then soft nylon to polish.
Light pressure, many passes, tip to tail. Leaning on a brush splays the bristles and clears less, not more.
