This is a cross-country wax, formulated for long-distance nordic racing rather than alpine. Worth knowing before you buy it for a GS ski.
Marathon waxes solve a problem specific to endurance racing: the wax has to survive 50 km rather than a two-minute run, so durability is prioritised over outright peak glide. A hard formulation wears more slowly and keeps its speed consistent over a long distance.

Could an alpine racer use it? It will glide, but you are paying for durability you do not need — an alpine run is short, and a wax matched to the day's snow temperature will be faster. Our alpine race waxes are the better choice.
