Soft nylon is the finishing brush of a roto set — the last pass, after the coarse brushes have cleared the wax out of the structure.

The sequence it belongs to: steel or bronze opens the structure, a stiffer brush clears the wax, then soft nylon polishes. Using it earlier just loads the bristles with wax a coarser brush should have taken, and you finish with a base that looks polished over wax rather than cleared of it.
Check your handle width. This is 100 mm and needs a 100 mm handle — see the single brush handle or the 100 mm handle with suction. 140 mm brushes will not fit.
Moderate drill speed, light pressure, keep the tool moving. Nylon builds less heat than steel but a stationary roto brush will still mark a base.
