A Super-G pole with the deep bend that lets the tips tuck in behind the body and the hands sit forward — the whole reason a speed pole is shaped differently from a slalom pole.
- 7075 series aluminium, stiff and bend-resistant
- 18 mm shaft with 10 mm ferrule
- Signature Super G bend
Shaft diameter is a stiffness choice. 18 mm is the adult standard; the junior version uses a 16 mm shaft, which is lighter and easier for a smaller athlete to swing. A junior on an adult shaft gains stiffness they cannot load and carries weight they will feel.
Sizing: size up from your slalom length. The tuck position and the deeper bend both consume length, and a Super-G pole that is too short leaves the hands low and the tips out in the wind.
Baskets matter at speed. Cone baskets are used for downhill and Super-G because they are more aerodynamic than discs — see cone baskets.
For slalom, the Alpine SL. See all GS and Super-G poles.
