Swix BP99 Warm Base Prep Wax (180 g) is a soft, low melt-point wax for the first step in conditioning new or freshly stone-ground skis. It protects bases from heat during hot waxing and doubles as a travel and storage wax.

How to Use
Iron in several layers on new skis, scraping between layers, before moving to harder waxes. For storage, leave a thick coat unscraped.
Where Base Prep Starts
New skis and freshly ground bases need to be saturated with wax before race waxes can perform well. Starting with a soft base prep wax penetrates deeply and builds a foundation. Many tuners follow with harder base prep waxes for added durability.
