Race poles differ from recreational poles in two ways that matter: they are bent to clear gates, and they are built to be hit. We stock Komperdell, Leki and Swix in the shapes each discipline needs.

Slalom poles are straight or lightly bent and are always run with guards, because you will hit every gate. GS and Super-G poles carry a deeper bend that tucks the hands in and the tips clear of the body, and the larger the turn, the more bend and length you want.

Sizing is by athlete height and discipline, not by what fits in the car. Juniors grow out of poles every season or two, which is worth planning for rather than buying long.

Shop slalom poles and GS and Super-G poles, then add pole guards, accessories and replacement baskets and straps — the parts that actually wear out.
